Please bring us plenty of your dog's food! You don't need to bring any personal items--we have everything your dog might need, including beds, toys, dog bowls, even sweaters! If you would like to bring a personal item, label it as best as you can with your dog's first and last name, and remember that your dog may want to chew on it!Please bring any leashes/harnesses/collars your dog is comfortable wearing, but try to avoid anything sentimental or that you would not want to part with (dogs will be dogs; they may chew or destroy any personal items that they typically wouldn't).We have a dedicated Guide for Boarding, including a printable checklist! Yes, absolutely! If your dog is new to daycare (or hasn’t attended in 6+ months), we’ll start with a First Day Assessment ($25) — and we can conveniently do it during their boarding stay. Once approved, you can add daycare to any boarding day: Half-Day (under 5 hours) $20/day or Full-Day (5+ hours) $25/day. If you have a Daycare Package, we’ll simply use your package credits.

Bring us your dog's food and anything else you give them (i.e. supplements, food topper, etc.). Please bring us enough to ensure if any spills happen that we have leftover! We do have fridges, freezers, and a microwave. For example, if you feed your pet 2 cups a day, bring us 2 cups for each day plus an extra day. Sometimes a change in the dog's environment will cause them to not want to eat, spill, or play around in their food (this is normal and typically they'll adjust quickly!). Possibly. We understand that some dogs may be reactive, fearful, protective, or uncomfortable with unfamiliar people or environments (and that's okay!). Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of your dog, our team, and the other dogs in our care.Please be completely honest with us about any history of aggression, biting, snapping, guarding, or difficulty being handled. This does not automatically mean your dog cannot stay with us. It simply helps us determine whether Dogwoods is the right environment for them and what accommodations may be needed including extra or tenured staff.Dogs who require additional staff time, specialized handling, modified routines, or other accommodations may be subject to additional daily fees. In some cases, we may determine that boarding in a busy facility could cause your dog unnecessary stress or cannot be provided safely. If so, we may recommend an alternative care option that is better suited to their needs (such as family members, a house/dogsitter, etc.).

Absolutely! We love our senior pups. As dogs age, however, their needs can change, and boarding may be more physically or emotionally demanding for them than it once was.Please let us know about any mobility limitations, incontinence, medications, cognitive changes, difficulty eating or drinking, or other age-related needs before their stay. This helps us make sure we can provide the level of care your dog needs while keeping them as comfortable and stress-free as possible.Senior dogs who require significantly more hands-on care, frequent potty breaks, repeated accident cleanups, mobility assistance, specialized routines, or additional monitoring may be subject to an additional daily fee to account for the additional staff time and individualized care required.In some cases, we may feel that a boarding environment is no longer the most comfortable or appropriate option for a dog's needs. We will let you know, and we will recommend other accommodations if we think undue stress would be caused by staying with us.

Checkin Time is anytime between 12pm-6pm (please arrive at 5:45 at the latest so it gives us plenty of time to get your dog settled in!) the first day of your reservation. Please check in under the gazebo in the pink door. Make sure no other customers are in the office before you come in!

Checkout Time is any time between 7am-12pm the last day of your reservation. If you will be later than 12pm, please call us immediately, as we may have another reservation after yours who will need a sparkling clean kennel! Please check in under the gazebo through the pink door. Please ensure there are no other customers in the office before opening the door.
